An armed robber in the USA has been arrested after he gave pharmacy staff a note demanding a list of prescription drugs including Viagra.
Thomas Christopher Mues faces several charges of robbery, trafficking, and possession after he handed a handwritten note to pharmacists at a CV store in the city of Orlando, Florida state, USA.
The 23-year-old man indicated that he had a gun and that he would shoot the employees at the CVS Pharmacy if they failed to collaborate during the incident at around 6pm on Thursday, 20th October,
He reportedly demanded the staff at the 4300 block of Curry Ford Road to put Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Xanax, Adderall, liquid codeine, and Viagra in a bag.
Mues reportedly wrote in the note: “THIS IS A ARMED Robbery!!!
“Please cooperate, I don’t want to hurt you. You are not to alarm anybody or I will shoot the closest person to me!
“Please follow these directions or I will shoot the closest person to me!”
In the note, he continued: “BAG THE Following:
“Oxycodone: 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg (all bottles); Xanax: 2mg, 1mg (all bottles), Adderal: 20mg, 30mg, 75mg (all bottles), Liquid Codeine/Prometh (all bottles), Viagra: 100mg (all bottles).
“When finished, place note in [the] bag and lay down or I will shoot.”
Officers from the Orlando Police Department arrived on site as Mues was walking out of the store.
He was apprehended with the stolen narcotics and written note still in his hands after a short foot pursuit.
Orlando Police Department said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “Mues admitted to travelling to Orlando from Jacksonville to carry out the plan and also confessed to another similar robbery in Central Florida.”
Mues is currently being held at Orange County jail on a USD 502,000 (GBP 409,657) bond.
