A mother who filmed her partner’s sickening sexual abuse of her three-year-old daughter and shared it on Facebook has been seized by police in Florida.
Sierra Campany recorded her boyfriend Nicholas Bassler Jr performing sex acts on the terrified youngster and a six-month-old infant she babysat.
The pair, both 24, were arrested after the police found the disturbing images in a Facebook chat.
The couple, the police said, have confessed to the abuse.
Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells said: “What you’re looking at here is pure evil.”
The police said the couple repeatedly sexually abused the two young children.
Phones and computers confiscated from the couple’s home in Bradenton, near Tampa, contained more shocking images, according to local media.
Some, the police said, showed Bassler forcing the three-year-old to have oral sex performed on her while he masturbated.
Other images reportedly show the depraved couple sexually assaulting a 10-year-old.
Police experts are now examining all their devices and believe the couple could have abused many more children.
Sheriff Wells said: “I’ve been doing this job for close to 40 years and it takes a lot to bother me. This case absolutely sickens me.
“I don’t know how you could do things that they have done to small children and go to sleep at night.
“This, in my opinion, is lower than any scum I’ve been around in a long, long time.”
Newsflash obtained a statement from the sheriff’s office on 20th September saying: “Nicholas Bassler Jr., 24, and Sierra Campany, 24 have been charged with Capital Sexual Battery after cyber tips revealed they were transmitting child sexual abuse materials over Facebook.
“Additional charges are pending.”
An earlier police statement said: “Forensics on their electronic devices found numerous exploitation images and videos showing both Bassler and Campany performing sex acts on children.
“Detectives know of three victims ranging in age from 10 months to 10 years old. Both Bassler and Campany have confessed to the crimes.
“On 9/14/23 Sierra Campany was arrested for Capital Sexual Battery and Nicholas Bassler Jr. was arrested on the same charge the next day. (9/15/23). They each face additional charges for Possession, Transmission, and Production of Child Pornography.
“Detectives believe there could be more victims.”
The investigation is ongoing.
