A lottery punter who splurged on 25 tickets all with the same number has walked away with a USD 125,0000 fortune.

Each ticket in the Pick 4 draw had a maximum prize of USD 5,000 (GBP 4,000).

But lucky Dana Bickham – from Suffolk, a city in the US state of Virginia – was so convinced his numbers were a winner he used them for all 25 tickets.

Astonishingly the numbers – 3, 5, 6, and 8 – turned up trumps and won Dana a massive combined jackpot.

Newsflash obtained a statement from the Virginia Lottery on 12th June, saying: “When Dana Bickham won the top prize in the Virginia Lottery’s May 15 Pick 4 night drawing, he didn’t have just one winning ticket, he had 25. Each ticket had the same four-digit combination: 3-5-6-8.

“The top prize in the Pick 4 game is USD 5,000. So, with 25 winning tickets, he won a total of USD 125,000 in a single drawing.

“He bought his tickets at the 7-Eleven at 1125 Wilroy Road in Suffolk.

“Mr Bickham told Lottery officials he picked that four-digit combination because he had a good feeling about it.”

The lottery officials added: “He said he has no immediate plans for his winnings.”
