A lucky punter in Switzerland has won GBP 1 million on roulette after playing on four tables at the same time in the casino’s second-greatest roulette win ever.
The player stunned everyone when he first won CHF 35,000 (GBP 31,491) with a CHF 1,000 (GBP 899) bid on number 9 on Wednesday evening, 27th September.
Just seconds later he placed all of his winnings on another number and won an astonishing CHF 290,000 (GBP 260,789) at the Grand Casino in the town of Baden, Switzerland.
Grand Casino officials said: “From then on, the table games area transformed into a real festival.
“The guests present were happy with the player after every win and the electric atmosphere seemed to fuel the winning streak.
“This continued when the player started playing on all four roulette tables at the same time.”
Game manager Jan Keller said: “It was a show for everyone. Every player dreams of such a lucky streak.
“A guest has a run of this kind at most once or twice in their entire life. Accordingly, we are always very happy for the people who are able to take such high winnings home tax free.”
The lucky man, whose identity was not disclosed, reportedly took home a total of CHF 1.2 million (GBP 1 million) several hours later.
The casino concluded: “The guest’s feelings of happiness will certainly last for a while.”
Officials revealed that this is the second-largest amount ever won at roulette at the casino. The highest amount was a CHF 2.1 million (GBP 1.8 million) win in 2010.
