A mother accused of fatally stabbing her own daughter has claimed that she was in fact killing “an alien who was trying to take her children”.

Carolyn D. Garrett, 65, was arrested for allegedly stabbing her daughter, Conju Garrett, 50, in Memphis, in the US state of Tennessee, on Tuesday, 27th June.

She also reportedly told officers that she was killing the devil.

She has been charged with first-degree murder.

Newsflash obtained a statement from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office dated 27th June saying: “‘Memphis Police officers responded ta suspicious person call at 2527 Keen Road.

“Once on the scene, officers observed a female unresponsive lying in the street near the driveway of 2527 Keen Road covered in blood suffering from multiple stab wounds.

“The victim was later identified as Conju Garrett DOB 03/12/1973 age 50.”

The cops said that the suspect had told them that she had killed an alien trying to take her kids. The police said: “Memphis Police officer spoke with Carolyn D. Garrett who stated, she killed an alien who was trying to take children.”

The statement also said: “Memphis police officers noticed a trail of blood leading from the carport door to the street where Conju Garrett was laying.

“Memphis Fire Department Unit 25 made the scene and pronounced Conju Garrett dead at 0022 hours.”

They said Carolyn Garrett waived her rights and agreed to talk with investigators and had said she heard voices coming from a wall that told her to kill her daughter.

The statement said: “Carolyn Garrett stated she had some voices coming from the wall telling her to kill her daughter Conju Garrett.”

She then allegedly took a knife from the kitchen and cut Conju Garrett on the back of her neck and back before dragging the body outside and dumping it on the curb, according to the police.

She then cleaned up the house and threw the blood-stained linen outside as well.

Court documents revealed that she has been charged with first-degree murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
