Amazed lotto winner Scottie Grant is celebrating his number-lievable luck after scooping two million dollar jackpots in just six months.

Scottie – 58, from the area of Molino, Florida State, USA – won his first million and made headlines on a scratch card last December.

Now he has defied the odds to win a second million astonishingly playing the same USD 50 (GBP 39) 500X THE CASH game six months later.

And he joked with Florida Lottery officials in Tallahassee when he turned up to collect his winnings “I’m back!”

He told officials how he had bought the winning ticket at the Circle Food Mart in Pensacola.

Scottie was given the option to choose between taking the full USD 1 million (GBP 782,370) prize in annual payments or a one-time cash option.

He chose the cash and went home with USD 820,000 (GBP 640,953).

Florida Lottery officials added that the retailer will receive a USD 2,000 (GBP 1,563) bonus for selling a winning scratch-off ticket.

They said: “The USD 50 [GBP 39] 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game features a top prize of USD 25 million [GBP 19.5 million] – the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game – and the best odds to become an instant millionaire!

“The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.”
