CAT STRANGLING KILLER DROWNED MUM: ‘Demons Made Me Do It’ Says Son

A killer who allegedly drowned his mother as a sacrifice to demons calmly called police and reportedly confessed to her murder.

Tormented Eric R. Meagan, 34, lured his mother on a walk in a park near their home before allegedly drowning her in Still River, near Harrybrooke Park, northwest of New Haven, in the US state of Connecticut. on 5th June.

He allegedly pushed her into the water and told police that he held her head under for about 10 minutes.

Then Meagan calmly called the police, confessed to the killing and waited for them to arrest him, according to local media.

Meagan told police he had “sacrificed” his 56-year-old mother Victoria Palmer to “make the demons stop”.

He told officers how he had been tormented by demons all over his body which were invisible to the naked eye.

New Milford Police Department said in a statement obtained by Newsflash how they had pulled the woman’s body from the water and taken her to hospital where she was declared dead.

Meagan – now facing one charge of murder – told officers: “I tried to drown my mom.”

The police said: “He described the demons as insects all over him but he can’t see them. He can only feel them, and they have been tormenting him for weeks.”

The suspect allegedly said that his mother had fought for her life but he had then held her head beneath the surface of the water for about 10 minutes.

Meagan’s lawyer told local media that his client has “significant mental health issues”.

Police say he first tried strangling his pet cats to make the ‘demons’ stop.

They said: “But that it was not enough. When asked why he chose his mother, he stated, ‘because I love her the most.’ He stated he feels safe now.”

Meagan’s next court date is set for 7th July.
