Cop Who Beat Cancer Twice Helps Local Woman Struggling With Health Get A Complete Yard Makeover

A cop in the USA who beat cancer twice has helped a local woman get a garden makeover after finding out she is struggling with health issues.

Two-time cancer survivor lieutenant Frieda Brown from Richland County, South Carolina State, USA, got into action after a fellow officer told her of the state of the local’s yard earlier this month.

Having wasted no time, Brown then gathered a group of colleagues from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department that immediately gave the sick woman’s lawn a brand new look.

The department said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “One of our deputies who recently beat cancer had discovered a woman dealing with her own medical issues had been out of town for a while receiving treatments and wasn’t able to tend to her property this summer.

“The deputy let our Code Enforcement team know and they decided to provide a little relief and help the woman get her yard up to code.”

Brown added: “While she’s been out of town her property has gone out of control and due to the deputy’s referral she asked us can we look into this property and see what we could do to help.”

With a few donations from Walmart and US Lawns, the lieutenant’s team quickly managed to clean the woman’s yard, after which they posted a couple of videos on Twitter on Wednesday, 16th August.

The noble act moved netizens who were unable to restrain from praising the department.

One Twitter user named ‘AndyHollis57’ said: “This is one of the many things I love about my Sheriff’s department.”

User ‘Navychick94’ commented: “Love this so much! Nothing like like wonderful ppl helping out those in need in their community. Thank you officers. You do Richland proud.”

And ‘Kidrocks4me’ added: “This is such a beautiful thing to do!! Great job to everyone involved!!”
