This is the moment an officer has his first-ever encounter with a skunk as he helped it free from two plastic cups it got stuck on its head.
Body-worn footage shows Officer Hilton performing the remarkable rescue at a Dunkin drive-through in Old Town, Maine on 5th August.
Having relocated from Georgia to Maine earlier this year, this was reportedly Officer Hilton’s first time seeing a skunk up-close.
He carefully approached it after seeing it struggle to break free from two plastic cups stuck on its head.
With one gentle touch, he managed to remove the cups from the skunk’s head and the animal free.
