A wrong-way driver has been taken into custody after US officers located him on the motorway.
The driver, whose identity was not disclosed in local media, was caught after troopers from the Washington State Patrol, USA. Received a call in the early morning hours of Monday, 4th December.
He was reportedly driving the vehicle the wrong way on the I-90 motorway near the city of North Bend.
Washington State Patrol said in a 10th December statement obtained by Clipzilla: “The vehicle swerved and continued westbound in the eastbound lanes.
“In order to stop the vehicle before a collision occurred, troopers able to set up and successfully deploy spike strips.
“An additional 911 caller advised our communications officers that the vehicle exited the wrong way on an onramp.
“A short time later, troopers were able to locate the vehicle and take the driver into custody, who was booked into the King County Jail for DUI. Reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license.”
