Giant 10-Foot Croc Takes Dip In Swimming Pool

This is the jawsome moment a 10-foot crocodile takes a dip in a terrified homeowner’s pool and refuses to budge.

Police and wildlife experts rushed to the home on the Florida Keys island of Plantation Key, in Monroe County, USA, on 11th June, after the horrified homeowner found the deadly croc taking a dip.

Nerve-wracking video footage of the encounter shows two croc experts snaring the huge reptile with a flex on a long pole.

As the croc thrashes to get rid of the snare it starts its powerful death roll – uses to kill prey – threatening to pull them into the pool.

But they manage to keep their feet and haul the by-now exhausted croc into the side of the pool.

Then – as the expert straddles the croc – they wrap gaffa tape around its giant snapping jaws to keep them shut.

The footage -recorded by Pesky Critters Wildlife Control – then shows the croc being taken back to a safe spot on the coast where it is released back into the wild.

They said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “Expert wildlife trapper Todd Hardwick quickly secured the crocodile, even after it’s massive splashes created a slick and dangerous footing situation on the pool deck.

“He and assistant trapper Jeff Peterla heaved it onto the deck where a Monroe county officer then assisted them with moving it to a safe location for release.”

They went on: “Footage shows Todd Hardwick removing its restraints once relocated and gently but safely encouraging it back into it’s habitat.

“Crocodiles are a threatened species in Florida, and endangered everywhere else in the United States.”

The croc – an American crocodile – is listed as ‘vulnerable on IUCN’s Red List of Threatened Species.

Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission urged people to keep a safe distance to avoid croc attacks.

They said: “Swim only in designated swimming areas and only during daylight hours. Crocodiles are most active between dusk and dawn.

“Keep pets on a leash and away from the water, even designated swimming areas, because they can resemble the crocodile’s natural prey.

“Never feed crocodiles – it is illegal and dangerous. When fed, they can overcome their natural wariness and learn to associate people with food.”
