A grandma who scooped two lotto wins has told how she did it by playing her grandson’s birthday date.
Victoria Sadler – 59, from Nottingham, in the US State of Maryland – had last used the date nearly a year ago to win a USD 25,000 (GBP 19,800) jackpot.
Now she’s scooped another USD 50,000 (GBP 39,600) win using the same dates, she had revealed.
Victoria placed a USD 1 (GBP 0.8) straight bet for both the midday and evening drawings Pick 5 game on 10th August.
And she was astonished when she realised her luck had held up for a second jackpot.
Stunned Victoria told local media: “When I realised I won, my jaw was on the floor! I was so happy, I couldn’t believe it.”
Being no stranger to lottery wins, she promptly scheduled an appointment to claim her prize and has already begun planning what to do with it.
She told local media she wants to use part of the money to treat her family a trip to Disney World.
As for the rest, Victoria said she intends to put it in savings and investments.
The retailer who sold her the winning ticket – Royal Farms in Baltimore – will also be rewarded a USD 500 (GBP 396) bonus from the Maryland Lottery.
