Lucky Lady Gives Hubby Birthday Present Of His Life After Hitting Lottery Jackpot On His Special Day

A lucky lady gave her husband the birthday present of his life after scooping the jackpot on her favourite lottery game on his special day.

Kristin Murawski from the area of Willis, Michigan State, USA, witnessed her husband drop his jaw when she told him they matched numbers 21, 23, 25, 34 and 38, on the Fantasy 5 drawing on Friday, 21st July.

The 46-year-old woman revealed how the USD 288,903 (GBP 226,037) win followed after they made a quick stop at their local Red Party Store for her hubby’s birthday.

Kristin said in a statement obtained by Newsflash from Michigan Lottery: “I like to play Fantasy 5 when the jackpot gets over USD 150,000 [GBP 117,354].

“We made a quick stop at Red’s, and I saw the jackpot was way past USD 150,000 [GBP 117,354], so I grabbed a ticket.”

She continued: “It was my husband, Scott’s, birthday, so we stopped at our neighbor’s house on the way home to celebrate.

“While we were there, my brother-in-law texted my husband the winning numbers.

“As I was looking at them, I kept yelling: ‘I think we hit! I think we hit!’ My husband looked at the ticket and his jaw dropped!”

The pair collected their prize at lottery headquarters in the city of Lansing on Thursday, 27th July.

Kristin revealed that they will use the money to pay student loans and invest what’s left.

She added: “Winning this jackpot is life-changing and makes our lives easier.

“It means an earlier retirement for my husband and less worry about how we’ll make ends meet once we are both retired.”

Michigan Lottery officials said: “Each Fantasy 5 play is only USD 1 [GBP 0.8]. For an additional USD 1 [GBP 0.8] per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to USD 500 [GBP 391] instantly.

“For an additional USD 1 [GBP 0.8] per play, Double Play may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to USD 110,000 [GBP 86,059] in the nightly Double Play drawing. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39.

“Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at USD 100,000 [GBP 78,236].

“Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7.29pm.”
