Police in the USA have apprehended a man after he pointed a laser at one of their aircraft during a police operation.

The arrest reportedly followed after the suspect – identity not disclosed – flashed crews from Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Aviation Section in the city of Dayton, Ohio State, USA, July 2023.

Video footage of the incident shared by officials shows the moment the man points the laser at the aircraft, and then fleeing inside his house after realising that flight crews have traced his location.

After quizzing all of the residents, the police found the person and took him into custody.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a statement obtained by Clipzilla on Tuesday (1st August): “Last week, our Aviation Section assisted Dayton Police with a proactive detail.

“During the detail, a laser was pointed at our aircraft – a second degree felony in Ohio.

” Our pilots guided ground units to the suspect, who was identified and apprehended.”
