 Police Divers Uncover 32 Vehicles Sunk In Lake While Investigating A Cold Case

A volunteer diving team were shocked to come across more than 30 submerged vehicles in a lake while they were investigating a cold case.

The team of divers fished out a total of 32 vehicles from a lake close to Miami International Airport, in the Doral area, in the US State of Florida on 9th August.

The divers, Ken Fleming and Doug Bishop are on a mission to solve missing persons cold cases, utilizing sonar technology to scour bodies of water.

Fleming explained: “When we discover a spot like this with multiple vehicles, it pretty much indicates that a crime where they’re disposing the vehicles and hiding them from law enforcement.”

The team has previously located 60 submerged vehicles statewide, potentially connected to various criminal activities.

Bishop said: “Departments have to justify their use of resources, and when a case goes cold, we can step in. We can help eliminate the drag on personnel locally”.

The divers are collaborating with Miami-Dade County to extract the vehicles and provide any crucial evidence to aid in unresolved cases.

Police are further investigating the matter.
