50-Year-Old Assailant Attacks Victim and Cops in Dramatic Arrest

In a turbulent incident, Seattle Police Officers successfully arrested a 50-year-old male after he assaulted a victim and two officers in Downtown Seattle on the 30th of October.

The episode unfolded shortly before 8:30 p.m. when dispatch received a call reporting a male suspect assaulting a passerby near 3rd Avenue and James Street. The victim recounted being struck in the head while walking on the sidewalk.

Responding swiftly, officers located the suspect matching the description at the scene. The situation escalated as the suspect assumed a fighting stance and threatened the officers. Attempting to evade arrest, the suspect fled, but was apprehended approximately half a block away. During the arrest, he inflicted injuries on two officers while resisting and suffered a laceration himself.

The Seattle Fire Department provided medical evaluation for the suspect, but officers required no medical attention, and the victim declined such assistance. The injured suspect was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment before being booked into King County Jail on investigation of assault charges.
