It seems to be a clear-cut case of excessive use of horns.
But when police officers pulled over this bizarre car in Nebraska, they were clearly reluctant to take this particular bull by its very real massive horns.
Police in Neligh, USA, had been tipped off about the DIY truck by other drivers who’d spotted the huge Ankole-Watusi bull in the passenger seat on 30th August.
The former police car had had half its roof, windows, and windscreen cut away so the bull – named Howdy Doody by owner Lee Meyer – could see where he was going.
But – judging by the huge spray of poo running down the rear of the car – the bull is a very nervous passenger.
It could have been caused by the traffic or maybe it had spotted the horns of an earlier passenger displayed on the bonnet of the car.
Norfolk Police Division Captain Chad Reiman explained: “The officers received a call referencing a car driving into town that had a cow in it.
“They thought that it was going to be a calf, something small or something that would actually fit inside the vehicle.
“As a result, the officers performed a traffic stop and addressed some traffic violations that were occurring with that particular situation.”
Meyer is said to be a regular with Howdy Doody at local cattle shows and parades.
Captain Reiman added: “The officer wrote him some warnings.
“There were some citable issues with that situation. The officer chose to write him a warning and ask him to take the animal back home and leave the city.”
