This is the touching moment a kind police officer gives a young black boy a PlayStation after being called out to a neighbourhood by locals wanting the child removed.
The cop quickly realised that the young boy was simply going door to door looking for yard work to save up enough money so he could buy himself the pricey console.
The incident took place in Hapeville, in the US state of Georgia, with the footage showing the cop opening the boot of his car and revealing the games console, a Playstation 5.
The kid immediately puts his hands to his face and hugs the cop, with the police explaining that the officer is also a gamer and decided to band together with his friends to buy the child, who has not been named, the video game console.
Newsflash obtained a statement from the Hapeville police on Monday, 24th July, saying: “Officer Colleran was dispatched to a call wanting a juvenile removed from the area.
“Officer Colleran made contact with a young man that explained he was in the area because he wanted to do yard work: pulling weeds, cutting grass and trimming hedges to save up for a PlayStation.
“The young man was polite, respectful and truthful. Officer Colleran, a gamer himself, was impressed with the young man and thought he would help him reach his goal.
“Officer Colleran and some of his friends were able to not only get this young man the video game system but a gift card to pay for the membership so he could play immediately.
“Officer Colleran made sure that this young man knew they would play on the same team online soon!”
