A lucky woman in the USA has become a millionaire after playing numbers from the retailer’s name and race cars on a lottery ticket.
The lucky lady named Rae Ann Wentworth-Cadieux was overjoyed after the Powerball ticket purchased at the local Pride Station & Store brought her USD 1 million (GBP 774,660) on Wednesday, 17th July.
In her ticket, Rae reportedly used numbers 7 and 11 from the name of the famous convenience store chain, in addition to numbers of race cars – 10, 13 and 24 – for the remaining.
Ecstatic over the win, Rae revealed she plans to use the prize to buy a holiday house when she collected it at lottery headquarters in the city of Dorchester on Friday, 21st July.
Massachusetts Lottery officials revealed that the same drawing produced two more millionaires one of which lucky Jan Busby from the town of Norfolk.
The lottery added: “A third USD 1 million [GBP 774,660] prize won in Massachusetts in this drawing was sold by Global Montello/Gulf, 821 Main St. in Waltham.
“Each of the three retailers that sold these winning tickets receives a USD 10,000 [GBP 7,745] bonus.”
