Tables Turned On Road Rage Driver Who Spray Painted Rival After Can Turned On Him

Police have told how a road rage suspect spray painted another driver’s face white before the can was wrestled from his hands and turned on him.

Photo shows David Winston, undated. He allegedly spray painted victim’s face white in Houston, Texas, on Friday, August 04, 2023. (Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4/Newsflash).

David Winston was travelling on Kuykendahl Road in the US state of Texas when he got distracted at traffic lights while looking for his phone and a driver behind him began honking his horn when he failed to go when the light turned green.

An irate Winston then pulled over and the two drivers began arguing, with Winston then allegedly pulling a can of white spray paint and spraying the other driver with it.

But the other driver, not named, managed to wrestle the paint from Winston and sprayed him with it as well.

Winston was then arrested, with a mugshot showing him still with white paint on his face.

Newsflash obtained a statement from Mark Herman, a Harris County Constable at Precinct 4, on Sunday, 6th August, saying: “On August 4, 2023, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 24000 block of Kuykendahl Road in reference to a road rage incident.

“Upon deputies arriving, the complainant reported that while traveling north bound in the 24000 block of Kuykendahl Road a driver in front of them was distracted with his phone and failed to maintain a single lane. While stopped at a red light, the distracted driver failed to progress when the light turned green. The complainant responded by sounding his horn.”

The cops added: “The suspect vehicle then began to throw objects at the complainants. As the vehicles came to a stop, an altercation ensued and the suspect spray painted the complainants face, vehicle and broke the back window. The complainant also spray painted the suspect’s face. The suspect was detained and identified as Davis Winston.

“David Winston was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Felony Criminal Mischief. His bond was set at USD 1,500.00 out of the 179th District Court.”
