Recurring Lottery Winner Screams In Disbelief After Scooping USD 50,000 On Scratch Card

A winning lottery ticket has left a recurring winner in the USA screaming in disbelief after she realised she just pocketed USD 50,000.

Passionate lottery player ‘Lucky Woman’ from the city of Gaithersburg, Maryland State, USA, said she never even dreamed of hitting the top prize despite having won smaller sums before.

That is why she found herself screaming out of joy when she scooped USD 50,000 (GBP 39,781) on a scratch card this June.

‘Lucky Woman’ said in a statement obtained by Newsflash from Maryland Lottery: “I always find myself winning and I consider myself lucky.

“I screamed because I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy.”

‘Lucky Woman’ who plays lottery games weekly with her husband recalled how she bought several tickets from a 7-Eleven store located at 7980 Georgia Avenue, in the area of Silver Spring earlier this week.

Among the ones she chose was reportedly a USD 20 (GBP 16) USD 50,000 (GBP 39,781) Cash – a game that she had not played in a while.

The lady then headed home and scratched off all her tickets before walking inside her house, which is when she uncovered the top prize on the Cash game.

She then rushed inside to share the great news with her husband and two daughters, and celebrated the grand win.

‘Lucky woman’ said: “They all really consider it a blessing.”

She recalled how the next morning she took the ticket to another retailer to confirm the win, and added: “Playing the Lottery is fun. I love playing scratch-offs.”

At lottery headquarters in the city of Baltimore, she revealed she will use the money to buy herself a new car.

Maryland Lottery said: “For its role in selling the USD 50,000 [GBP 39,781] top-prize winning scratch-off, 7-Eleven #32389 also benefits.

“The Montgomery County store located at 7980 Georgia Avenue will receive a USD 500 [GBP 398] bonus from the Lottery.”
